Water quality editing sample

Before

In order to better study the Poyang Lake, based on field surveys, three subregions (Subregions A, B, C) (Fig. 1) were selected as three main study areas according to their unique characteristics of water quality conditions. The latitude increases from Subregion C to A. Subregion A of Poyang Lake is located between Hukou and the north of Songmen Mountain, where sand dredging is active and water is highly turbid due to strong resuspension of sediment. Subregion B is located in the south of Songmen Mountain, near to the main Poyang Lake, and water is moderately turbid; there are many marshlands around it, so it suffers little influence of anthropogenic activity. Subregion C is close to the river mouth of Rao River (饶河), and sjurrounds the farmland and villages, so it is susceptible to anthropogenic activity with low-levelly turbid water.

After

To better study Poyang Lake, three subregions (A, B, C) were selected as the main study areas according to their unique water quality conditions (Fig. 1). The latitude increases from Subregion C to A. Subregion A is located between Hukou and the north side of Songmen Mountain, where sand dredging is active and the water is highly turbid due to strong resuspension of sediment. Subregion B is located south of Songmen Mountain, near the main water body where the water is moderately turbid; there are many marshlands in the area, so it suffers little influence of anthropogenic activity. Subregion C is close to the Rao River (饶河) mouth and surrounded by farmland and villages, so it is susceptible to anthropogenic activity and has low turbidity.
